Malin Kristine Graesse is a PhD Research Fellow at the University of Oslo. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Science from the University of Tromsø with a minor in philosophy. She previously studied Law, and has worked as a gallery assistant next to her studies. She first became associated with the Back to the Sustainable Future research project during her MA in design history. Her MA thesis explored how deep-ecology can find similarities within the field of design thinking – drawing a connection between designer and thinker William Morris, philosopher Arne Næss, and Norwegian designer Sigrun Berg.
